Another great meeting!

We enjoyed another great Knights of Freedom Meeting this past week. The boys all liked seeing Josh's telegraph that he built.

Reed and Tanner are in this picture. For Reed's Knight's Exhibition the boys made finger puppets and then put on little skits with them.

Here is Josh, Jordan, Jonathan and Adam working on folding their finger puppets. Lady Krisa and Lady Adrianne are in the background.

Here is London's Exhibition- the boys were in two teams with letter on their front and back and they raced to spell words. We have some really good spellers!

Jon played a fun marble game with the boys for his exhibition. We could tell the boys were getting more comfortable with each other because they were getting a little bit silly!!

September 17th meeting

Hello Knights and Families,
We have got such a great group of boys! Remember we have have KOF this coming Wednesday. You DO NOT have to have the book read until the following meeting- Thomas Edison. Here are pictures of some of this week's activities This is picture of the boys just before they started Josh's fun activity of popping each other's balloons which were tied to their legs. There were no injuries and they had fun.
Here is Caden (Our Lord Chancellor). I think he was one of the last to get both of his balloons popped.

Lady Adrianne leads the Knights in a great discussion about John Glenn.

SUMMIT WAS AWESOME!

Summit was this past Friday and Saturday and WOW! It was really awesome. About half of our chapter was able to attend as registration had to be completed in June and filled up quickly. The boys learned about being true knights. They had five tasks they had to complete
1. Learn to work as a team
2. Learn the virtues of a knight
3. Earn your weapon
4. Complete a quest
5. Fight a battle.
I was so proud of all the boys- they behaved admirably and they did complete all their tasks- including fighting a battle and saving Queen Emily from the treacherous Squire. Our boys were in the red camp (the best camp!) Their Master Knights were Casey Christensen and Preston Miller (they were also the best). Our camp was the only camp to beat the villians in the tug-of-war!
Although this activity was in fun it was a magnificent thing to see so many boys training to be men and fight for what is right! So many thanks to everyone who made Summit possible. If you weren't able to come this year -you will definitely want to plan on it next year! Enjoy the pictures.

Welcome Fall 2008

Welcome Knights and Families of Knights of Freedom Riverton! This blog is to share pictures and activities of our chapter meetings. Feel free to comment. We have a wonderful group of knights and we expect a very exciting year of great activities and friendships! Remember to read John Glenn for our next meeting.
This past meeting our Knight's Tales were Clark-dragon and knight drawings, Josh-a rainforest report, Tanner-book on the periodic table, London-two piano pieces, Jordan-shared his rock collection.
Knights Exhibitions were Jakob-origami frogs, Taylor-catapult contest, Adam-pass along stories.
Lady Adrian shared a great knighthood lesson with the boys about sharing each others burdens and being friends. The boys enjoyed sword fighting in the backyard. See you on the 17th!
